Many people believe they are allergic to down and feathers, but in most cases, the culprit is the tiny house dust mite.
Difference between down and feathers
At Ringsted Dun, we work with both high-quality down and feathers, but there is a difference in how we use them. Down is naturally designed to retain heat and, with its light weight, is very suitable as filling for duvets – both the warm winter duvets and the lighter summer duvets. Feathers are used when more filling is needed, such as in pillows, where you want a higher, firmer model.
