Pillow Types
What type of pillow should I choose?
At Ringsted Dun, we have a large selection of many types of pillows which is sure to include the best pillow for you. You can choose between one-chamber pillows, three-chamber pillows and four-chamber pillows. We also have pillows with organic filling, pillows for both baby and junior, as well as sofa cushions.
- A 1-chamber pillow has a single kind of filling throughout, which may just be soft down, but is often a mixture of small feathers and down, which provides a bit more support than pure down.
- The core of a 3-chamber pillow is filled with small, supportive feathers and down, while the outer layers are filled with lovely, soft down, so you sleep as if you’re on a cloud.
1-chamber
This type of pillow has a single sort of filling throughout. The filling can be soft down, but is often a mixture of small feathers and down, which provides a bit more support than pure down. This type of pillow is soft and easy to shape, so you lie comfortably and flat.
3-chamber
3-chamber pillows are filled with small, supportive feathers and down in their core, while the outer layers are filled with lovely, soft down, making the pillow soft. This type of pillow keeps its shape during the night and provides optimal support for the head and neck.
Organic Pillows
Our organic pillows are filled with premium organic duck down sourced from Danish free-range ducks. The down comes from Danish manufacturers. In addition, the fabric used to make the organic pillows is GOTS-certified and carries the Nordic Ecolabel. Read more about Organic Care here.
Baby Pillows
Our baby pillows support and hold the baby’s head and neck during sleep. Always make sure that babies and children do not lie down or sleep with their heads lifted too high. Baby pillows are typically used when the child is between 3-6 years of age. The next choice will be a junior pillow.
Junior Pillows
All our baby and junior products are allergy friendly and chemical-free. They are also machine-washable at 60 degrees for easy maintenance.
A junior pillow supports your child’s head to promote sound and peaceful sleep all night long. Junior pillows are typically used when the child is between 3-6 years of age. The next choice will be an extra-low adult pillow.
Sofa Cushions
Our quality insert cushions are made with white Danish duck feathers. The insert cushions are available in many different sizes and shapes and with different filling weights.
You can use insert cushions as sofa cushions for which you can buy or make your own covers.
